Tomorrow Sunrise: 6:44am         Tomorrow Sunset: 7:12pm

 

The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 09/25/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 228 CFS as of 9:11 AM. Water temperature this morning was 65 degrees Fahrenheit as of 5:00 OM

In the Upper Section, angling success was described as “quiet” in the top of that section (no anglers present), with the middle and lower sections being described as “slow”. Fish species reported were predominately Chinook (King) Salmon throughout this section, with Brown Trout reported in the middle of this section. The fish present were actively moving upriver and holding in pools, until they reached the topmost portion of this section, where they hunkered down in pools. Angler density in this section was described as moderate in the lower and middle parts of this section.

In the Middle Section, angling success was described as “moderate” in the bottommost part, ramping up to “good” within the middle to uppermost parts of the section. Fish species reported were predominately King Salmon, with Brown Trout making appearances in the middle and uppermost parts of this section. The fish present were actively moving upriver, with a percentage also holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as “low” in the bottom of the section, and “low” throughout the remainder of this section.

In the Lower Section, angling success was described as “quiet”.  Fish species reported were all King Salmon. The fish present were actively moving upriver, with a percentage also holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as “low”.

Water temperature this morning was 63 degrees F as of 5:00 AM In the Upper Section, angling success was described as “excellent” in the middle of that section, with the topmost part “quiet” and the lowermost part “slow”.  The predominant fish species reported throughout this section was Chinook (King) Salmon. The fish present were all actively moving upriver. Angler density in this section was described as “high” in the middle part of this section, with “none” in the uppermost part, and “low” in the lowermost part.   In the Middle Section, angling success was described as “moderate” to “good” then “excellent” as you moved upriver within this section.  The predominant fish species reported in this section were King Salmon, with a very large Atlantic Salmon also brought to hand today, within this section. The fish present were mostly actively moving upriver, with a few fish holding in pools in the middle part of this section. Angler density in this section was described as low in the bottommost part, high in the middle part, and moderate in the uppermost part. In the Lower Section, angling success was described as “slow” progressing to “moderate” as you moved upriver.  The predominant fish species reported were King Salmon. The fish present were actively moving upriver. REPORT:

Although we didn’t get as much rain as hoped for, it certainly seemed to help with our guests’ fishing success today (possibly the strong Westerly winds as well).  Fishing was substantially better today than the previous days, listed as good to excellent with Kings, (many well over 20lbs), along with a handful of Cohos and Browns also. Our guest volume would be best described as moderate in the morning hours, thinning out to low in the afternoon.

The water temperature this morning was 66F. The volume of anglers today throughout the run was low. The angler success this morning slow in the upper portion with the middle to lower sections having slow to moderate success. This afternoon’s angler success was slow. Kings were the only species identified. The fish were moving upriver this morning along the entire run, for the PM upper section holding in pools with the middle to lower sections moving upriver and holding in pools.

REPORT:

The consensus for this evening’s report falls similarly to the previous couple of days. With a low to moderate number of guests on the run, fishing success again seemed at its best early in the morning before tapering off around 9am or so. From the folks I’ve spoken with, King Salmon have been the primary species holding in pools along with a couple of Brown Trout mixed in on the lower section of the run.   Pictured below is Jeffrey with a nice King Salmon from this morning.

REPORT:

From the afternoon fishing reports given to me by our River Patrol the consensus seems to be that the first two hours of daylight were the best, with fishing described as slow to moderate with primarily Kings.  From mid-morning onward, at least up until the time of this report, fishing was listed as quiet to slow.  There were a few brown trout reported in the middle section, but the remainder brought to hand were all Kings. Our angler volume on the run today was moderate.

REPORT:

Except for the first two hours of daylight, the fishing slowed down significantly up until the time of this report.  Our guests who fished during that time brought Kings, (only species reported early), and one Atlantic to hand.  Kings remained the fish of the day throughout.  Fishing would best be described as slow to moderate in the am and quiet to slow in the afternoon hours up until the time of this report.

Another day very similar to yesterday with good numbers of Salmon, (Kings) brought to hand and seen moving up the river from dawn until roughly 9:00am and then things slowed considerably, (at least up until the time of this report.)  Our angler volume throughout the day was moderate, tapering to low for the afternoon hours, and angling success would best be described as good this morning and slow this afternoon.  King Salmon with a few Browns were the only species reported so far today.

Our guests enjoyed a solid morning of fishing with many kings brought to hand as well as seen moving up-river.  The afternoon, at least up to the time of this report, has been slower with fish being seen in most sections of the river, but becoming very line shy.  King Salmon are the sole species that have been reported; still waiting for some Cohos to start moving into the river.

 REPORT:

Water temperature this morning was 65F. Anglers needed to move off of the run this morning with the report of lightning and thunderstorms. Angler success was good before the front came through, afterwards with all of the sunshine the fish were less inclined to take the bait. Angler density was low today. The bite improved around mid-afternoon, as stated by several anglers.

Our morning into the early afternoon started off well.  We had an angler density of low throughout the run and fishing would best be described as slow to moderate with Kings being the only species reported hooked or brought to hand.  Around 2pm the sun came out and at least up until 5:30pm things slowed considerably for our guests.
