DSR Fishing Report:

Monday, September 28th  / PM

Tomorrow Sunrise: 7:00am

The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 09/29/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 220 CFS as of 5:00pm. Water temperature this  afternoon was 64 degrees F at 5:00pm

Today was the first day that we’ve had reports of multiple Steelhead connected with on the run.

In the Upper Section, angling success was described as “moderate” in the lower part, and “moderate” in the middle and upper parts.  The fish species reported was Kings and Cohos. The fish present were holding in pools and moving upriver.  Angler density in this section was described as “low “in the lower to middle parts, with no anglers present in the upper part.

In the Middle Section, angling success was described as “moderate” in the lower and upper parts, and “moderate” in the middle part.  The fish species reported  were Chinook (King), Cohos, and Steelhead.  The fish were moving upriver. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate”.

In the Lower Section, angling success was described as “moderate” in the estuary and “good” just upriver. Fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho Salmon and Steelhead. The fish present were actively moving upriver as well as holding in pools within the estuary.

The Forecast for tonight is  Overcast. Slight chance of a rain shower. Low 52F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

The forecast for tomorrow is  Morning clouds will give way to sunshine for the afternoon. High 63F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
