DSR Fishing Report:

The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 09/30/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 216 CFS as of 9:15 AM. Water temperature this  morning was 55 degrees Fahrenheit at 6 AM. There was no PM water temperature taken.

 

In the Upper Section,

angling success was described as “low” in the lower part and upper parts, and “moderate” in the middle part.  The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon. The fish present were all actively moving upriver and holding in pools in the upper portion of the run.  Angler density in this section was described as “moderate “in the middle and upper parts, and “low” in the lower part.  

In the Middle Section,

angling success was described as “slow” in the upper part, and “moderate” in the middle and lower parts.  The fish species reported  were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Steelhead.  The fish were both actively moving upriver, with a percentage also holding in pools.  Angler density in this section was described as “moderate” in the lower part, high in the middle parts, and “low “in the upper part.

In the Lower Section,

angling success was described as “slow” in the estuary and “good” just upriver.  Fish species reported were both Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho Salmon. The fish present were both actively moving upriver as well as holding in pools.
