The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/02/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 220 CFS as of 9:15 AM. Water temperature this morning was 63 degrees Fahrenheit at 9 AM.
UPPER SECTION
Angling success was described as “moderate” in the bottom and middle parts of this section, and “quiet” in the uppermost part (no anglers were present there). The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon in the lower and middle parts, with Kings only in the uppermost part. Steelhead showed up in the lower part of this section. The fish present were holding in pools within the lower part, actively moving upriver and holding in pools within the middle part, and moving upriver within the uppermost part. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate" in the lower part, “high” in the middle part, and “none” in the upper part.
MIDDLE SECTION
Angling success was described as “good” in the lower part, and “moderate” in the middle and upper parts. The fish species reported were both Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon throughout the section, Steelhead were present in the lower and middle parts. The fish were both actively moving upriver and also holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate” throughout this section.
LOWER SECTION
Angling success was described as “slow” in the estuary, and “moderate” just upriver. Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon, as well as Steelhead, were reported present throughout this section. The fish present were both actively moving upriver and holding in pools. Angler density in this section was “low” in the estuary and “moderate” just upriver.

UPPER SECTION
Angling success was described as “moderate”. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon in the upper part, with some Steelhead in the middle and lower parts. The fish present were all actively moving upriver and holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as “low” in the upper part, and “moderate” in the middle and lower parts.
MIDDLE SECTION
Angling success was described as “moderate”. The fish species reported were Chinook (King), and Coho Salmon as well as Steelhead. The fish were both actively moving upriver and also holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as “low” in the upper part and “moderate” in the middle and lower portions of this section.
LOWER SECTION
Angling success was described as “moderate”. Only Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon were reported in this section. The fish present were both actively moving upriver and holding in pools. Angler density in this section was “moderate” in both parts of this section.

The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 216 CFS as of 8:15 AM. Water temperature this  morning was 60 degrees Fahrenheit at 6 AM.   UPPER SECTION Angling success: “moderate” in the lower and middle parts, “quiet (no anglers)” in the upper part.  The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon in the lower and middle parts, with Kings only in the upper part. The fish present were all actively moving upriver and holding in pools in the lower part, moving through in the middle part, and holding in pools in the upper part.  Angler density in this section was described as “high“ in the lower and middle parts, and “none” in the upper part.   MIDDLE SECTION Angling success was described as “good” in the lower part, “moderate” in the middle part, and ”slow” in the upper part.  The fish species reported  were Chinook (King) Salmon throughout this section, with Coho Salmon currently in the middle part, and a soliary Steelhead in the upper part.  The fish were both actively moving upriver, with a percentage also holding in pools.  Angler density in this section was described as “high” in the lower and middle parts, and “moderate” in the upper part. LOWER SECTION Angling success was described as “quiet” in the estuary and “good” just upriver.  Only Chinook (King) Salmon were reported in this section. The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 09/30/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 216 CFS as of 9:15 AM. Water temperature this  morning was 55 degrees Fahrenheit at 6 AM. There was no PM water temperature taken.

 

In the Upper Section,

angling success was described as “low” in the lower part and upper parts, and “moderate” in the middle part.  The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon. The fish present were all actively moving upriver and holding in pools in the upper portion of the run.  Angler density in this section was described as “moderate “in the middle and upper parts, and “low” in the lower part.  

In the Middle Section,

angling success was described as “slow” in the upper part, and “moderate” in the middle and lower parts.  The fish species reported  were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Steelhead.  The fish were both actively moving upriver, with a percentage also holding in pools.  Angler density in this section was described as “moderate” in the lower part, high in the middle parts, and “low “in the upper part.

In the Upper Section, angling success was described as “moderate” in the lower part and upper parts, and “good” in the middle part. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon in the bottom and middle parts, with Kings only in the upper part. The fish present were all actively moving upriver. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate “in the lower and upper parts, and “high” in the middle part.
In the Middle Section, angling success was described as “slow” in the lower part, and “moderate” in the middle and upper parts. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon only in the lower to middle parts, with Kings, Coho Salmon, and a solitary Brown Trout in the upper part. The fish were both actively moving upriver, with a percentage also holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate” in the lower and middle parts, and “low “in the upper part.
In the Lower Section, angling success was described as “quiet” in the estuary and “moderate” just upriver. Fish species reported were both Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho Salmon. The fish present were both actively moving upriver as well as holding in pools.

In the Upper Section, angling success was described as slow on top as well as the middle  of the section. Fish species reported were Kings and Coho’s. The fish present were mostly holding in pools with some moving upriver. Angler density in this section was described as low.

In the Middle Section, angling success was described as slow to moderate. Fish species reported were Kings and Cohos along with a pair of Steelhead. The fish present were actively moving upriver. Angler density in this section was described as high to moderate.

In the Lower Section, angling success was described as slow. Fish species reported were Kings and Cohos. The fish present were holding in pools and the lower section the fish were moving upriver. Angler density in this section was described as high in the upper section on this portion of the run and low in the lower section of the run.

In the Upper Section,

angling success was described as quiet on top with slow to good in the middle of the section. Fish species reported were Kings and Coho’s. The fish present were mostly holding in pools with some moving up river. Angler density in this section was described as low to moderate.  

In the Middle Section,

angling success was described as slow to moderate. Fish species reported were Kings and Cohos brought to hand. The fish present were actively moving upriver, down river, and holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as high to moderate.  

In the Lower Section,

angling success was described as moderate to good. Fish species reported were Kings and Cohos. The fish present were holding in pools and the lower section the fish were moving upriver. Angler density in this section was described as high in the upper section on this portion of the run and low in the lower section of the run.

Today was the first day that we’ve had reports of multiple Steelhead connected with on the run.

In the Upper Section, angling success was described as “moderate” in the lower part, and “moderate” in the middle and upper parts.  The fish species reported was Kings and Cohos. The fish present were holding in pools and moving upriver.  Angler density in this section was described as “low “in the lower to middle parts, with no anglers present in the upper part.

In the Middle Section, angling success was described as “moderate” in the lower and upper parts, and “moderate” in the middle part.  The fish species reported  were Chinook (King), Cohos, and Steelhead.  The fish were moving upriver. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate”.

In the Lower Section, angling success was described as “moderate” in the estuary and “good” just upriver. Fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho Salmon and Steelhead. The fish present were actively moving upriver as well as holding in pools within the estuary.

In the Upper Section, angling success was described as slow. Fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Cohos, with a few steelhead spotted in the lower portion of this section.  The fish present were actively moving upriver and holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as low.

 

In the Middle Section, angling success was described as slow to moderate. Fish species reported were both Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho Salmon as well as some steelhead mixed in the lower portion of this section. The fish present were actively moving upriver and holding pools. Angler density in this section was described as low.

 

In the Lower Section, angling success was described as good. Fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho Salmon. The fish present were actively moving upriver and holding in pools.
