DSR Fishing Report:

Friday, 16 October /  PM

The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/17/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 260 CFS as of 5:00 PM. The water temperature was 62 Degrees Fahrenheit as of 5:15pm this afternoon.

UPPER SECTION

Angling success was described as “quiet in the upper part of this section and “moderate” in the middle and lower parts. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon.  The fish were primarily moving upriver and holding in pools.  Guest volume was described as low across the entire section.

MIDDLE SECTION

Angling success was described as “moderate”. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead, and Brown trout along with an Atlantic. across all parts of this section.  The fish were  both actively moving upriver throughout the section, with a percentage also holding in pools within the entire section. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate”.

LOWER SECTION

Angling success was described as “slow” through all sections of the run. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon,  and Steelhead throughout the section. The fish present were moving upriver throughout the section, with fish holding in pools in the estuary. Angler density in this section is “low”.
