DSR Fishing Report: Thursday, 15 October / AM

The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/15/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 220 CFS as of 7:00 AM. The water temperature was 61 Degrees Fahrenheit as of 9:00 AM this afternoon.

       

UPPER SECTION Angling success was described as “moderate to good”. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead. The fish were both moving upriver and holding in pools. Guest volume was “low” in the upper section and moderate in the lower sections.

       

MIDDLE SECTION Angling success was described as “moderate”. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon, along with Steelhead in the upper and lower parts. The fish were both actively moving upriver throughout the section, with a percentage also holding in pools within the entire section. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate”.

       

LOWER SECTION Angling success was described as “slow” in the estuary and “moderate” just upriver. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Steelhead throughout the section, with King Salmon in the estuary. The fish present were moving upriver throughout the section, with fish holding in pools in the estuary. Angler density in this section is “moderate to low”.
