The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/15/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 228 CFS as of 5:00 PM. The water temperature was 62 Degrees Fahrenheit as of 5:00 PM this afternoon.

UPPER SECTION

Angling success was described as “good” in the lower part, “excellent” in the middle part; there are currently low number of guests in the upper most section and a ‘High” number of guests in the lower portion. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho, Steelhead and Brown Trout. The fish were primarily moving upriver in this section. Guest volume was low in the upper section and moderate in the lower section.

MIDDLE SECTION

Angling success was described as “excellent” in the bottom and middle parts of this section, and “moderate” in the upper part. The fish species reported were Chinook (King), Cohos, Steelhead and Brown Trout. The fish were both actively moving upriver throughout the section, with a percentage also holding in pools within the entire section. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate” in the bottom and middle parts and “moderate’ in the upper part.

LOWER SECTION

Angling success was described as “slow” in the estuary and “moderate” just upriver. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho, and Steelhead throughout the section, with King and Coho in the estuary. The fish present were moving upriver throughout the section, with fish holding in pools in the estuary. Angler density in this section is “low”.
