The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/11/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 213 CFS as of 8:15 AM. Water temperature this morning was 53 degrees Fahrenheit at 9 AM.
UPPER SECTION
Angling success was described as “good” in the lower part, “moderate” in the middle part, and “quiet” (no anglers present) further upriver. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon throughout this section, Coho Salmon as well as Brown Trout in the lower and upper parts, and Steelhead in the lower part. The fish were both actively moving upriver as well as holding in pools in the lower part, holding in pools in the middle part, and both actively moving upriver as well as holding in pools in the upper part. The volume of anglers was “moderate” in the lower and middle parts; there are currently no anglers present in the upper part.
MIDDLE SECTION
Angling success was described as “moderate” in the lower and upper parts, and “good” in the middle part of this section. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon throughout this section, Brown Trout in the upper part, and Steelhead within the lower and upper parts. The fish were all actively moving upriver, as well as holding in pools, in all parts of this section. Angler density in this section was described as “moderate” throughout the section.
LOWER SECTION
Angling success was described as “quiet” (no anglers currently present) in the estuary, and “slow” just upriver. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Steelhead throughout this section. The fish present were moving upriver within the lower part of this section, with fish also holding in pools in both parts of this section. Angler density in this section was “none” in the estuary and “moderate” just upriver.
