DSR Fishing Report:

The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/11/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 220 CFS as of 4:45 PM. The afternoon water temperature was 56 Degrees Fahrenheit as of 4:45 PM this afternoon.

UPPER SECTION

Angling success was described as “moderate” in the lower and upper parts, and “slow” in the middle part. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, and Steelhead throughout the section. The fish were holding in pools and moving upriver. The volume of anglers was “low” in the very top portion of the run and “moderate” throughout the lower section.

MIDDLE SECTION

Angling success was described as “moderate” in the upper and middle sections and “good” in the lower part of this section. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon in the upper part with steelhead in the middle and lower parts. The fish were actively moving upriver and holding in pools throughout this section. Density in this section was described as “high” in the bottom part, and “moderate” in the rest of the section.

LOWER SECTION

Angling success was described as “slow” in the estuary, and “moderate” just upriver. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, and Steelhead. The fish present were moving upriver throughout this section as well holding pools. Angler density in this section was “low”.
