UPPER SECTION

Angling success was described as “good” in the lower and upper parts, and “excellent” in the middle part. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon and Steelhead throughout the section, along with Brown Trout throughout the middle section. The fish were holding in pools and moving upriver. The volume of anglers was “moderate” throughout the entire section.

MIDDLE SECTION

Angling success was described as “moderate” in the upper and middle sections and “excellent” in the lower part of this section. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon in the upper part with steelhead in the middle and lower parts. The fish were all actively moving upriver throughout this section. Density in this section was described as “high” in the bottom part, and “moderate” in the rest of the section.

LOWER SECTION

Angling success was described as “slow” in the estuary, and “moderate” just upriver. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon and Steelhead. The fish present were moving upriver throughout this section as well holding pools. Angler density in this section was “low”.
