The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/08/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 220 CFS as of 9:15 AM. The afternoon water temperature was 60F.

 

UPPER SECTION

Angling success was described as “good” in the lower part and “slow” further upriver. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Steelhead throughout the section, along with Brown and Coho throughout the middle to lower part of the section.  The fish were holding in pools  and  moving upriver.  The volume of anglers was moderate throughout the entire section.  

MIDDLE SECTION

Angling success was described as “good” in the lower and middle parts, and as “moderate” in the upper part. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Steelhead throughout the entire section with Brown in the upper part.  The fish were all actively moving upriver throughout this section, and also holding in pools.  Angler density in this section was described as “high” in the bottom part, and “moderate” in the rest of the section.

LOWER SECTION

Angling success was described as “slow” in the estuary, and “moderate” just upriver.  The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho throughout the section. The fish present were moving upriver throughout the section, with fish also holding in pools. Angler density in this section was “low”.
