Wednesday, 7 October  AM   Tomorrow Sunrise:  7:10 AM Tomorrow Sunset:  6:32 PM   The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/07/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 213 CFS as of 8:15 AM. Water temperature this  morning was 50 degrees Fahrenheit at 6:45 AM.   UPPER SECTION Angling success was described as “moderate” in the upper and lower parts, and as  “good” in the middle part. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon throughout the section, with Steelhead present in the lower and middle parts of this section.  The fish were moving upriver throughout the section, with fish holding in pools within the lower and upper parts of the section.  The volume of anglers was “moderate” in the lower and middle parts, and “low’ in the very upper part.   MIDDLE SECTION Angling success was described as “moderate” in the lower and upper parts, and as “good” in the middle part. The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon, as well as Steelhead throughout the section; there were reports of Brown Trout from the lower part, as well as a nice 27” Atlantic Salmon brought to hand in the same part of this section . The fish were all actively moving upriver and also holding in pools. Angler density in this section was described as “low” in the bottom part, and “moderate” in the rest of the section. LOWER SECTION Angling success was described as “good” in the estuary, and “moderate” just upriver.  The fish species reported were Chinook (King) Salmon and Steelhead. The fish present were holding in the estuary, with fish  moving through just upriver. Angler density in this section was “low” throughout the section.

Featured is Andrew with a very nice 27" Atlantic Salmon (net in the picture), and Graham (two other anglers in the background) with a bruiser Coho Salmon.
