DSR Fishing Report:

The current dam release is 185 CFS, which is projected to remain until 10/03/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 216 CFS as of 9:15 AM. Water temperature this  morning was 62 degrees Fahrenheit at 5:00pm.

UPPER SECTION

Angling success was described as “quiet” in the upper and middle parts of this section (no anglers were present there), and “high” in the lowermost part.  The fish species reported were Chinook (King), Cohos, and Steelhead.  The fish were listed as both moving upriver.

MIDDLE SECTION

Angling success was described as “moderate to good” .  The fish species reported  were both Chinook (King), Cohos and Steelhead. The fish were both actively moving upriver and also holding in pools in the lowermost section.  Angler density in this section was described as “moderate” throughout this section.

LOWER SECTION

Angling success was described as “slow” in the estuary, and “moderate” just upriver.  Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon and Steelhead were reported present throughout  both of these sections. The fish present were both actively moving upriver and holding in pools. Angler density in this section was “moderate.”

The forecast for tomorrow is:  Partly cloudy skies during the morning hours will become overcast in the afternoon. High 67F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.
