DSR Fishing Report:   Thursday, 1 October  / AM   Tomorrow Sunrise:  7:03 AM Tomorrow Sunset:  6:43 PM   The current dam release is 185 CFS, where it is projected to remain until 10/01/26 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 216 CFS as of 8:15 AM. Water temperature this  morning was 60 degrees Fahrenheit at 6 AM.   UPPER SECTION Angling success: “moderate” in the lower and middle parts, “quiet (no anglers)” in the upper part.  The fish species reported were Chinook (King) and Coho Salmon in the lower and middle parts, with Kings only in the upper part. The fish present were all actively moving upriver and holding in pools in the lower part, moving through in the middle part, and holding in pools in the upper part.  Angler density in this section was described as “high“ in the lower and middle parts, and “none” in the upper part.   MIDDLE SECTION Angling success was described as “good” in the lower part, “moderate” in the middle part, and ”slow” in the upper part.  The fish species reported  were Chinook (King) Salmon throughout this section, with Coho Salmon currently in the middle part, and a soliary Steelhead in the upper part.  The fish were both actively moving upriver, with a percentage also holding in pools.  Angler density in this section was described as “high” in the lower and middle parts, and “moderate” in the upper part. LOWER SECTION Angling success was described as “quiet” in the estuary and “good” just upriver.  Only Chinook (King) Salmon were reported in this section.
