Yesterday's Report

DSR Fishing Report for 05 September 2026:

REPORT:

Except for the first two hours of daylight, the fishing slowed down significantly up until the time of this report.  Our guests who fished during that time brought Kings, (only species reported early), and one Atlantic to hand.  Kings remained the fish of the day throughout.  Fishing would best be described as slow to moderate in the am and quiet to slow in the afternoon hours up until the time of this report.

Pictured below is Louis-David with a bright Atlantic brought to hand in the middle section of the run!

CFS / WEATHER:

The flow from the dam is currently showing 185 CFS and is scheduled to remain at that level until 11:59 PM on Tuesday, September 8th. The Pineville Gauge is currently at 232 CFS.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 54F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Intervals of clouds and sunshine. High 73F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

***Announcements:

Yesterday, Friday September 4th, sometime in the late afternoon, into early evening one of our guests lost something of value.  Please contact the DSR at your earliest opportunity if this applies to you.

9- and 12-month Season Passes are available for pick-up.  Please have your valid NY state fishing license with you.***

A reminder that, effective this season, we are asking that all categories of guests check-out with us, either in-person at the Welcome Center, telephonically, or with River Patrol at other access points (e.g., Black Hole, estuary, lodge guest parking) when they leave the run for the day; this will enable us to more effectively monitor and control the number of anglers on the run, in order to meet both the spirit and intent of our daily angler limit.
