DSR Fishing Report for 31 August 2026:

 REPORT:

There were anglers fishing pretty much the entire length of the run. Angler density was low to moderate with angler success slow to moderate. Most anglers reported hooking into several fish and landing a few over the course of the day. Fish started moving upriver this evening as reported by a couple of anglers.

 CFS / WEATHER:

The flow from the dam is currently showing 250 CFS and is scheduled to remain at that level until 11:59 PM on Tuesday Sept 1st, but since the Pineville Gauge is currently at 236 CFS, the flow out of the dam is less than the posted 250CFS. Water temperature was 64F first thing this morning, and evening temperature was 70F. Tonight: Rain showers this evening with numerous thunderstorms developing overnight. Low 64F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Tomorrow: Rain showers early with overcast skies later in the day. High 77F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
