DSR Fishing Report for 18 August 2026:

 

REPORT:

There were a couple of anglers this morning with the first King of the season landed. We had several try their luck this evening with at least a couple of fish sighted there was one hookup but not landed.

 CFS / WEATHER:

The flow from the dam is 185 CFS and is scheduled to remain at that level until 11:59 PM on the 19^th.  The Pineville gauge is currently at 236 CFS   Tonight:  Partly cloudy skies. Low around 60F. Winds light and variable. Tomorrow:  Rain and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. High 76F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%.   Tomorrow Sunrise: 6:13 AM Tomorrow Sunset:  8:05 PM

 9-month Season Passes are available for pick-up as of today.  Please have your valid NY state fishing license with you.***   The railroad crossings near the Little Ceasar's in Pulaski will be closed per this schedule: The railroad crossing on State Route 13 will be closed 17 Aug until 5 PM 22 Aug The railroad crossing on State Route 11 will be closed 23 through 29 Aug. Plan ahead, especially for the State Route 13 closure ... alternates route to access the DSR during the State Route 13 railroad crossing closure would be: coming from the North on I 81, towards Pulaski, take exit 126 (old exit 36) for Pulaski – coming off the exit, turn right onto Maple Avenue, turn left at the “T” onto State Route 11 (N. Jefferson), then the next right onto County Route 5 (Lake Street) to the DSR; coming from the South on I 81, towards Pulaski, take exit 125 (old exit 36) for Pulaski – coming off the exit, take a right onto State Route 13, take the next left (about a mile down) onto 2A, take a left onto Maple Avenue at the I 81 intersection, , turn left at the “T” onto State Route 11 (N. Jefferson), then the next right onto County Route 5 (Lake Street) to the DSR.
