DSR Fishing Report for 22 May 2026:   REPORT:  fewer than a handful of anglers showed up today, fishing the morning only, however they all managed to connect with fish; specifically a 25” Steelhead in the lower section of the run, with a pair of anglers scoring a combined total of three Smallmouth Bass in the lower section of the run as well (all swung flies).   WEATHER / CFS: The current dam release is 200 CFS, scheduled through 11:59 PM tomorrow evening.  The flow from the Pineville gauge is at 286 CFS. Tonight:  Partly cloudy skies early will give way to cloudy skies late. Low 52F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph.   Tomorrow: Cloudy early with showers for the afternoon hours. High near 60F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50%.   Tomorrow Sunrise: 5:34 AM Tomorrow Sunset: 8:30 PM   ANNOUNCEMENTS:   Balance payments for all categories of seasons passes will be due by June 26, 2026.   As part of an After-Action-Review of last season that identified best-practices moving forward, guests are requested to check out when they leave the property. This will enhance angler safety and our efforts to more accurately manage angler density on the run so as to not exceed angler limits. Check-out may be as simple as stating “Season Pass Holder (last name) leaving for the day!” or calling the Welcome Center to share “Party of four under (last name) leaving for the day!”.
