DSR Fishing Report for 28 April 2026:  

REPORT:

The angler density was moderate today with moderate to good angling success. Anglers used fly and spin casting tackle, and a variety of egg sacks, beads, flies and crankbaits were all used successfully. Steelhead and Smallmouth Bass were the predominant species with a small Brown being landed. Most of the anglers were in the center part of the run. The wind didn’t seem to affect the anglers and the reported rains never materialized.  

WEATHER / CFS:

The current dam release is 350 CFS; It’s  scheduled to stay at that flow until 11:59 pm on 04/29/2026. The gauge at Pineville was at 482 CFS as of 5:00pm. Tonight: Cloudy. Low near 50F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph.   Tomorrow: Cloudy with rain developing later in the day. High around 60F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch. Locally heavy rainfall possible.   Tomorrow Sunrise: 6:02 AM Tomorrow Sunset:  8:03 PM
