DSR Fishing Report for 25 April 2026:

REPORT:

We had high density of guests through mid-morning tapering off to a moderate amount of guests after the lunch hour.  Angling success would be characterized between slow and good.  There were several guests I spoke with that came off the run that didn’t hook up, but almost an equal number who connected with at least one or more steelhead, (as well as a handful of smallmouths.)  The steelhead were predominantly drop backs, with only a couple of fresh fish mixed in.

WEATHER / CFS:

The current dam release is 750 CFS; it is currently scheduled to stay at that flow until 11:59 pm on 04/26/2026. The gauge at Pineville is currently at 936 CFS.

Tonight: Showers early, then partly cloudy overnight. Low 38F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy skies. High 58F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
