Fishing Report for 04/16/2025- Blustery, overcast skies, with scattered snow flurries and temperatures staying in the 30s were the conditions encountered here today at the DSR. We had a lone guest fish the run from early morning through the lunch hour; he hooked up with (1) mid river, fishing a chartreuse egg imitation along the bottom, that he fought for a few minutes before losing to an early release. Tomorrow we’ll have mostly sunny skies from sunup to sundown, temperatures in the low 30s climbing to the mid-40s by late afternoon, with winds from the W / WNW 8-13 mph. The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 1000 cfs through at least 11:59pm tomorrow evening; the Pineville gauge is currently 1410 cfs.
