195 CFS Dam Release

February 13, 2024

CFS at the dam 500, and is projected to remain there until 6 PM tomorrow - CFS at the Pineville gauge remained at 702 this morning and dropped slightly to 688 by day's end - air temperatures started at 30 degrees and only bumped up to 35 degrees as of this report - skies alternated between almost all clear in the morning, then partly cloudy, back to clear, now wholly overcast - winds were relatively light. Our guests checked-in from just after opening time until early afternoon - those who fished a few hours, and left before noon, were not successful - the remaining guests were able to bring one to two Steelhead to hand - the middle part of the run fished better today, with egg sacks or beads under bobbers producing - the Steelhead today were, on average, in the 6# to 8# range - Tonight's forecast: "Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the evening. Low 19F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 60%. Snow accumulations less than one inch." Tomorrow's forecast: "Cloudy skies early will become partly cloudy later in the day. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 27F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.".
