CFS at the dam 1500, CFS at the Pineville gauge 1920 as of 3:15 PM - air temperature started at 31 degrees, climbed to a high of 39 degrees - an overcast sky all day, very light winds, occasional frozen mist falling, all made for a relatively pleasant Winter day to be outdoors - we had 11 guests join us on the run, starting just after opening time to early afternoon - the first pair of guests came off the run at 10:45 AM, reporting one Steelhead between them, drifting a frosted orange 10mm bead under a bobber - another guest, on their heels, reported 1 /2 Steelhead drifting a bead under a bobber and drifting a Maribou jig - a solitary guest came up at 11:30 AM and reported 0 / 2 drifting egg sacks under a bobber - the next two guests came off the run at 2:30, with both reporting 0 / 1 - a guest who came off the run at 4:10 PM, who had arrived after noon, reported 2 / 4, including a nice 6# Brown Trout (I saw the picture) and a Steelhead - he stated he had done better the last two days - the last wo guests came off the run at 4:30 PM - one reported bringing a small Brown Trout to hand, the other just had a "tug" (but was "taking it easy today") - most of these guests covered as much water as possible, on the North shore - another guests fished the South shore and reportedly (secondhand) did well enough - the overnight low will be 29 degrees, and the forecast for tomorrow is: Cloudy early with periods of light rain and snow later in the day. High 39F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 80%.
