CFS at the dam 350, CFS at the Pineville gauge 530s all day - water temperature 34 degrees, air temperatures bounced between 33 and 37 degrees, overcast, calm, intermittent bouts of soggy snow or half-frozen drizzle with long clear periods - we had 14 guests join us on the run - as of this report, I was able to speak to 13 coming off the run, beginning at 12:45 PM through dark - not a single one of these guests were not able to at least play a few fish for a bit - reports were (Steelhead, unless otherwise noted) a pair of anglers going 2 / 3 between them; an angler reporting 4 / 4 swinging egg patterned flies under an indicator; another angler with 3 / 3, one being 28", all chrome, swinging a white fly; a pair of anglers 3 / 10 and 4 / 4 respectively, fishing beads and egg sacks under a bobber; an angler reporting 1 / 2 Brown Trout, with a bonus Steelhead in addition; an angling duo, the first with 3 / 4 using eggs under a bobber (tail-outs most productive) and the second 0 / 2 using beads under a bobber; a father and son pair that achieved 1 / 2 and 2 / 2 in that order; and the last pair reporting 2 / 2 and 3 / 8 using egg sacks and beads under a bobber - these last anglers reported that they started in the upper section (slow) and it picked up as they traveled downriver - forecast for tonight is: Snow showers. Low 32F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70%. Snowfall around one inch. Forecast for tomorrow is: Mainly cloudy with snow showers around in the morning. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s.
