9 AM and 4 PM River Patrol consolidated fishing report: CFS 335 at the dam, CFS 447 at the Pineville gauge - water temperature ranged from 48 degrees at our 6 AM opening, up to 51 degrees at noon - air temperatures started at 49 degrees, then dropped to it's current 43 degrees - hazy blue skies, sunshine, light to moderate winds made for a pleasant day to be out and about - this morning, the Steelhead action was described as "good" in the middle through upper sections of the run - the lower section was "slower" by comparison - no other fish species made an appearance this morning - as our guests came off the run during the afternoon, those who chose to report oftentimes stated Steelhead numbers in the 3 to 5 range, with one small Brown Trout in the afternoon tally - the afternoon report indicated that Steelhead action continued, with fresh fish nosing into the run, providing "an awesome day" per one center-pinner . . . one guest mentioned that, while fishing brown nymphs he received strike after strike - when he lost all his brown flies, and switched to black, nothing . . . interesting tidbit - overnight low will be 29 degrees - the forecast for tomorrow is: A mainly sunny sky. High 57F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph.
