714 CFS Pineville Gauge
500 CFS Dam Release

October 24, 2022

5 PM daily summary fishing report: CFS at the dam 335, CFS 419 at the Pineville gauge, water temperature 52 degrees - our day started out in the low 50s, hazy skies, light winds - the current temperature is 68 degrees, clear skies, winds remained light - at around 9 AM we received the first River Patrol fishing report: looks like what started late yesterday only got better today - Steelhead were present in the lower section in sufficient numbers to keep our guests active and happy, with a couple of bonus Brown trout in the mix there - the middle section was slower, with only a couple of hookups on Steelhead - the upper section was the most active of the morning, with good numbers of Steelhead, which were only slightly more predominant than fresh Kings being brought to hand - as the day progressed, and guests left the run, we began receiving more indications that the Steelhead in the lower section were staying around, even building up a bit, with a commensurate increase in angler activity - one lucky angler went double-digits on Steelhead (first of the year that I have heard of) in the lower section, with a bonus Atlantic Salmon - the forecast for tomorrow is: Partly to mostly cloudy. High 72F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.
