We started the day with some frost, but things warmed up quickly with bright blue skies all day, reaching into the upper 50's. Certainly a lack of overcast, but that didn't deter anglers from enjoying a beautiful day on the water, steelhead fishing. Quite a few anglers joined us right off the bat this morning, and were able to get a few hours in before winds picked up mid morning, with the majority of anglers reporting at least a steelhead brought to hand, and if not had quite a few on. Efforts were pretty wide spread on the property today, with anglers covering the property top to bottom. Most anglers were able to find success in the middle sections again, specifically in the deeper pools. All reports were of drop back steelhead, with the exception of a brown trout landed. Water temperatures began at 40 F this morning, and reach about 45 F mid day. The dam release is currently scheduled to remain at 295 CFS until 11:59 PM tomorrow (4/8). Please monitor safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill for updated dam release scheduling.
