The CFS at the Pineville gauge is at 717. 9:30 AM report: weather conditions are cloudy, 44 degrees (forecasted high of 52 degrees), currently light winds, but some gusty winds on occasion, no precipitation yet (forecasted for this afternoon, about a quarter inch). Water temperature this morning was 48 degrees. This morning, the estuary had no fish movement noted. There is low guest density in the lower section, moderate guest density in the middle section, and low guest density in the upper section. Fishing activity in the lower and middle sections is moderate, with slow activity in the upper section. Steelhead are present (and predominate) throughout the run, however a handful of smaller Brown Trout made appearances in the lower and middle sections. Fish are actively moving upriver, as well as holding in pools, except in the upper section where they are holding in pools. The report for this afternoon is low guest density, moderate fishing activity throughout the run, predominately Steelhead, with a sprinkling of Brown Trout in the mix, with the fish moving upriver and holding in pools. Several guests, as well as a couple of guides, commented it was a "tough, but good day". The forecast for tonight is: " A steady rain this evening. Showers continuing overnight. Low 36F. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch. Higher wind gusts possible.”
