A very rare occurrence: the Salmon Run Lodge (a seven person lodge) is available for immediate booking from 13 through (checkout day) 20 September 2026, as well as the evening of 22 September 2026 only (checkout 23 September).
The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 185 CFS until 10/27/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 232.
9 AM report: current conditions are: hazy blue skies and brilliant sunshine, 34 degrees (high of 53 degrees forecasted), dead calm, dry. Water temperature is 47 degrees.
Throughout the run fish are holding in pools. A lot of the fish that are holding are engaging in spawning activity; please do NOT fish for spawning fish!
With temperatures near freezing, please keep the fish in the water as much as possible, even when taking pictures; their gills are susceptible to damage from exposure to extreme cold.
The estuary section reported high guest density, moderate fishing activity, on Steelhead holding in pools.
The lower section reported moderate guest density throughout, experiencing good fishing in the lower part, and moderate fishing activity in the upper part, on a mix of Chinook (King) Salmon and Steelhead, with a bonus Brown Trout in the lower part, with these fish moving upriver as well as holding in pools throughout.
The middle section reported moderate guest throughout, experiencing moderate fishing activity throughout, with Steelhead only, which are holding in pools in the lower part, and moving through as well as holding in pools in the upper part.
The upper section reported moderate guest density in the lower part, low guest density in the upper part, with moderate fishing activity throughout, on Steelhead only in the lower part, and a mix of Kings and Steelhead in the upper part, which are moving through as well as holding in pools.
The top section reported low guest density, experiencing slow fishing activity, with Steelhead only, which are holding in pools.
