8 Oct / PM River Patrol Fishing Report: The Manor House guests' reserved areas (the South channel below the Glide, and the Upper Clay), are both CLOSED tomorrow, 9 October, to all categories of our other guests, for the entire day, until further notice; any other updates will be published immediately through here, our website fishing reports, through Guest Services at the Welcome Center, and through the River Patrol assigned to the two specific reserved areas. Appropriate signage has also been posted at the boundaries of these two areas, to indicate whether the areas are accessible. https://douglastonsalmonrun.com/walkup/ The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 185 CFS until 10/09/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 224. 4:30PM report: The estuary section reported low guest density, experiencing moderate fishing activity, with Chinook (King) salmon. We’ve had a strong push of Salmon today thru mid afternoon moving up the north channel into the river. The lower section reported low guest density and moderate angling success with a mix of Kings, Cohos and Steelhead. The middle section reported high guest density and good to excellent angling success with Kings, Cohos, Steelhead and a few Browns. The upper section reported high guest density and good angling success with Kings, Cohos, and Steelhead. The top section reported low guest density, experiencing moderate angling success with Kings and Steelhead. The forecast for tomorrow: “Sunny skies. High of 54 F. Winds from the North at 5-10mph.
