October 1, 2025

01 OCT '25: The Manor House guests' reserved areas are closed to guests tomorrow, Thursday, October 2nd, until further notice; any updates will be published immediately through here, our website fishing reports, through Guest Services at the Welcome Center, and through the River Patrol assigned to the two specific reserved areas. Appropriate signage has also been posted at the boundaries of these two areas, to indicate whether the areas are accessible. The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 185 CFS until 10/02/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 195. The estuary section reported having no guests present. River patrol spotted a few pods of King salmon in both the main and north channel. The lower section reported moderate guest density along with good success with a mixture of Kings, Cohos, and Steelhead. Most of the fish were seen holding in pools with a few moving upriver. The middle section reported moderate guest density throughout, experiencing good fishing activity with Kings, Coho, and a few Brown trout. Fish were seen holding in pools as well as moving upriver. The upper section reported high guest density and good angling success with multiple Kings and Coho being brought to hand by most anglers. Fish were observed has moving upriver and holding in pools. The top section reported having no anglers present. Pictured below is Ryan (Guided by DSR Guide Larry Gonzalez of “Larry's Fishing Charters”) with a beautiful Steelhead and Nick (Guided by DSR Guide Scott Mathna of "Redlegg Outfitters") with a great Coho salmon. The forecast for tomorrow is: "Sun and a few passing clouds. High 67F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.”
