29 Sep '25: the Manor House guests' reserved area (the Upper Clay) is OPEN to all guests today until further notice - the South channel below the Glide is closed to all guests, for the full day, until further notice; any updates will be published immediately through here, our website fishing reports, through Guest Services at the Welcome Center, and through the River Patrol assigned to the two specific reserved areas. Appropriate signage has also been posted at the boundaries of these two areas, to indicate whether or not the areas are accessible. The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 185 CFS until 09/29/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 202. Current conditions are: hazy but blue skies, bright sunshine, 58 degrees (high of 74 degrees forecasted), dead calm, dry. Water temperature is 62 degrees. The estuary section reported low guest density, experiencing moderate fishing activity, with Chinook (King) and Coho salmon, as well as Brown Trout, which were both moving upriver as well as holding in pools after sunrise. The lower section reported high guest density in the lower part, and moderate guest density in the upper part, experiencing good fishing activity in the lower part, and moderate fishing activity in the upper part, with Kings, Cohos, a Brown Trout, a Steelhead in the lower part, and Kings only in the upper part, that are both moving upriver and holding within pools in the lower part, and mostly moving in the upper part. The middle section reported moderate guest density throughout; experiencing moderate fishing activity in the lower part, and good fishing activity in the upper part, a mix of Kings and Cohos in this section, with Steelhead showing up as well in the upper part, with fish in the lower part moving upriver and holding in pools, and fish in the upper part moving upriver. The upper section reported moderate guest density throughout, with moderate fishing activity throughout, with a mix of Kings and Steelhead in the lower part; Kings, Cohos, and Steelhead in the upper part; as well as a trio of Atlantic Salmon taken in this section, that are moving upriver as well as holding in pools. The top section reported low guest density, experiencing slow fishing activity, with Kings, Coho and Steelhead, and the fish both moving upriver as well as holding within pools.
