WALK-UP PASS PROCEDURES: due to our current online "sold-out" status, we anticipate implementing our walk-up daily access fishing pass procedures tomorrow morning, for both full-day and afternoon-only passes; here is the link to our walk-up pass procedures: https://douglastonsalmonrun.com/walkup/ The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 200 CFS until 09/19/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 195. Current conditions are hazy blue skies, bright sunshine, 50 degrees (high of 75 degrees forecast), dead calm to light breezes, no precipitation. Water temperature is 70 degrees. River Patrol 4:30pm fishing report (this report is a subjective, generalized, evaluation of fishing conditions within large, yet specific, areas of the run, compiled through personal observations of the River Patrol assigned to these areas, as well as those of our guests angling within these areas, over a span of several hours, and may differ from your personal observations): The estuary section reported low guest density, with slow angling activity, and predominately Chinook (King) salmon holding in the area. The lower section reported low guest density, with slow angling activity, primarily King Salmon holding in pools. The middle section reported low guest density, with angling activity, mostly Kings being caught with the odd Coho as well, both holding in pools. The upper section reported low guest density, with slow angling activity, with Kings seen holding in pools. The top section reported no guests present, within unidentified fish holding within pools. The forecast for tonight is: "Partly cloudy skies. High near 65F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph".
