NOTICE: effective tomorrow, 8 August, we will transition from Summer to Fall hours of operation: specifically, from 8 through 14 August we will be open 5:15 AM until 5 PM daily. Subsequent hours of operation may be found on our website: in the upper left hand corner of the home page, select "Menu", from the drop-down menus then select "About", then "Release Schedule", and then click on the timeframe of dates you desire to review. Also, on 8 August our nine month season passes will be effective. We have published almost all of them (excepting those missing uploaded pictures in their accounts), so they may be issued upon your first visit to the DSR. Please ensure that you are in possession of a valid New York State fishing license at the time you request your season pass to be issued. On Tuesday at 7 AM the CFS at the dam dropped to 185, where it remained until 9 PM Wednesday when it increased to 400, however at 6 AM today it dropped back to 185, where it remains. There were correlating fluctuations in the CFS at the Pineville gauge. Air temperatures were in the mid 80s during this period, with light winds, and partly cloudy to clear skies. We had two guests each day Tuesday and Wednesday, one targeting Fallfish those days. The other angler each day caught a Bluegill, and a small Rainbow Trout. One angler specifically ventured out yesterday in an attempt to be the first this season to bring a salmon to hand at the DSR (he was unsuccessful). Today we have two guests on the run; we will update this post should they encounter any salmon.
