6/1/2025-We had one angler join us late morning for a couple of hours, (more of an ‘exploratory’ trip in his words), who fished the upper portions of the run resulting in one 18” smallmouth hooked on a small spoon. He did mention that he saw several smallmouth finning in the water near shore behind some of the larger rocks, again in the upper portion of the run, (water temperature was reported to be 54 degrees.) Tomorrow will be on the chilly side for early June, temperatures in the mid-40s rising to around 60 by noon time, with mostly sunny skies, accompanied by W / SW winds 5-10mph, and very little chance of any precipitation. The flow from the dam is currently at 350 cfs where it’s scheduled to remain through midnight tonight; the gauge at Pineville is currently 512 cfs and holding steady. Please check https://www.safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill for the most up to date flow.
