Fishing Report for 04/23/2025-Bright sunshine with temperatures starting off around 37 degrees, increasing to the mid-50s through the day, with light WNW winds made for a beautiful day on the run for our two dozen guests that joined us. Water flows were again 1000 cfs from the dam, (1380 cfs at Pineville), with water temperatures ranging from 45 at dawn to around 49 degrees by mid-afternoon. Our guests fished primarily with center pin rigs, under floats with beads or egg sacs, along with a pair of Spey Fisherman, from the upper middle portions to the very bottom of the run. Success was again strong today, with similar numbers of fish hooked / landed as yesterday. Most caught or hooked more than (1) steelhead, (no reports of Atlantics so far), with the majority of fish showing signs of healing up from recent spawning. Tomorrow’s outlook is for mostly to partly cloudy skies, temperatures starting out around 45 degrees, creeping up to the low 70s, with winds 6-8 mph, fluctuating from ESE to SE and eventually to SSW. There is a slight chance of a brief shower at midday. Once again the flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 1000 cfs through at least 11:59 tomorrow evening; the gauge at Pineville remaining relatively unchanged at 1370 as of 5:00pm.
