Fishing Report for 02/16/2025-The Weather certainly lived up to ‘Wintry Mix’ as we had rain, ice pellets, and finally snow to start things off here this morning. Our first guest went down to the river at 9:30am followed by our second two hours later. Our first guest returned just before 3pm going 2/2 on colored up steelhead from the lower portion fishing egg sacs; the second guest was 2/4 steelhead, colored up, under egg sacs and put some distance in fishing the top to through the entire middle run. The snow is supposed to continue thru the remainder of the day and into Monday morning as the winds switch from the E/SE to the N/NW, and the temperature drops from the high twenties to the mid-teens by daybreak. It will be a blustery day on the run tomorrow, with winds between 20-30 mph from the W/NW. The flow from the dam, currently at 295 cfs is scheduled to remain there until at least 11:59pm tomorrow evening; the Pineville gauge is currently reading 436 cfs. Additional snow accumulations 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations around a few hundredths of an inch. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 1.5 to 2.5 feet in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
