After a snow filled weekend, we were spared the elements today with temperatures holding just above freezing and remaining mostly cloudy. With just a touch of wind today conditions were pretty optimal, and having a few days of a consistent 500 CFS release had us quite hopeful today. A few anglers expressed a difficult time finding fish today, but most indicated a good day with a mix of chrome and colored up steelhead in the middle and lower sections of the run. Temperatures are expected to drop just a bit tonight, and get back above freezing around 10 AM, just in time for the expected high wind. Currently a high wind warning has been issued from 1PM Tuesday (1/9) until 10AM Wednesday for Southeast winds 35 to 45 MPH, with gusts up to 70 MPH expected. At this time the dam release is currently scheduled to remain at 500 CFS until 11:59 PM tonight (1/8). Please check safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill for an updated dam release schedule.
