1760 CFS Pineville Gauge
1500 CFS Dam Release

October 9, 2023

With significant rain fall yesterday, we were left with quite a bit of residual runoff throughout the day.  Regardless of the 350 CFS dam release, the Pineville gauge remained around 1000 CFS, and only began to drop towards the end of the day.  Conditions may not have been optimal with high water impacting the wade-ability, but most of our anglers persevered and managed to do pretty well.  Upper sections of the property reported the lightest angling pressure (nearly nonexistent), most likely due to the accessibility.  Middle sections of the property reported minimal angling pressure, with 'plenty of fish', and picking up pace as the afternoon went on.  Lower sections reporting the most angling activity, and moderate fish activity, with mostly kings being reported. ________________________________________________________________ The dam release is scheduled to increase from 350 CFS to 750 CFS tonight at 8:00 PM.  For update dam release information please check - https://safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill.  Please note that DSR will remain open for fishing, unless the RELEASE FROM THE DAM is 2,000 CFS or greater. ________________________________________________________________
