CFS 1500 at the dam, 1860 at the Pineville gauge - air temperature started out at 33 degrees first thing this AM, rose to our high of 38 degrees, and is currently 35 degrees - our skies were overcast the entire day, winds were light, and there was only occasional, very brief snowfall - 12 guests joined us today, starting just after opening to 1 PM - at 11:15 AM the first guest came off the run - he struck out bottom bouncing an egg patterned fly in the middle section - at noon a pair of guests reported no success drifting beads under a bobber - at 1 PM we at last received some good news - one guest reported 2 / 3 for dark Steelhead, with the miss on a nice Brown Trout he was able to see before it cut loose - at 1:24 PM a guest reported no luck, however he stated he was swinging flies, without a sink tip . . . shortly after, a guest reported 0 / 1 on a "large Steelhead" while drifting beads under a bobber - at 2:55 PM a guest reported 1 / 1 Steelhead drifting an egg patterned fly (peach with tinsel) under a bobber - at 3:19 PM a guest reported "same as yesterday" (he was top rod and did well enough) and shared pictures of a nice chunky Steelhead and Brown Trout from today - at 4:45 PM our last guest off the run reported 3 / 5 "decent sized" Steelhead drifting eggs under a bobber - forecast for tonight: Snow this evening will give way to lingering snow showers late. Low 31F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 100%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected. Forecast for tomorrow: Overcast. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Temps nearly steady in the low to mid 30s. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.
