DSR Fishing Report for 23 January 2026:

***From Saturday, January 24^th through Saturday, January 31^st the DSR’s hours will be from 9:00am to 3:00pm, (closing at 3:00pm unless anglers are present on the run), due to the extended forecast of very cold temperatures resulting in slush.***

The current dam release is at 350 cfs and listed to remain at that flow thru 11:59pm 23 January ’26.  The gauge at Pineville is currently at 550 cfs.  

REPORT:

The angler density today was low (only two anglers joined us on the run). They came up after 15 minutes or so stating that the river was unfishable due to surface slush.  

WEATHER:

  Tonight:  Bitterly cold. Partly cloudy skies. Low -9F. Winds NNW at 15 to 25 mph.   Tomorrow:  Intervals of clouds and sunshine. Very cold. High 6F. Winds light and variable.   Sunrise:  7:30am         Sunset:  5:04pm

  - 1 January through 27 August 2026 fishing passes are currently available

- Premium Access Passes (11 Sep – 29 October) released Friday 23 January 2026 - enter queue at 5:30 PM, sales begin at 6 PM (only Premium Access will be sold on the 23rd)

Season Pass Renewals will begin March 1st, 2026. Full payment or a deposit will be required by March 31st, 2026. Balance payments will be due by June 26th, 2026.
