Yesterday's Report

October 20, 2025

20 Oct 2025/PM: The Manor House guests' reserved areas, the South channel below the Glide as well as the Upper Clay, are both CLOSED to all DSR guests tomorrow, Tuesday, October 21st, 2025; any updates will be published immediately through here, our website fishing reports, through Guest Services at the Welcome Center, and through the River Patrol assigned to the two specific reserved areas. Appropriate signage has also been posted at the boundaries of these two areas, to indicate whether or not the areas are accessible.   The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 185 CFS until 10/21/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 273 and rising as of 4:30pm. Current conditions: Overcast, breezy with scattered showers, water temperature is 57 degrees.   Throughout the run, fish are both moving upriver as well as holding in pools. A lot of the fish that are holding are engaging in spawning activity; please do not fish for spawning fish! The estuary section reported low guest density, moderate fishing activity, with Steelhead only.   From the Estuary to the top of the run King Salmon are still the predominant fish being brought to hand, but Steelhead have increased significantly over the past several days, with the odd Atlantic or Brown as well.  Cohos have tapered off.   Tomorrows Forecast:  “Partly cloudy skies in the morning will give way to cloudy skies in the afternoon. There is a slight chance of a passing shower.  High of 63F.  Winds will be from the South at 10-15mph.
