20 Oct 2025: The Manor House guests' reserved areas, the South channel below the Glide as well as the Upper Clay, are both OPEN to all DSR guests today; any updates will be published immediately through here, our website fishing reports, through Guest Services at the Welcome Center, and through the River Patrol assigned to the two specific reserved areas. Appropriate signage has also been posted at the boundaries of these two areas, to indicate whether or not the areas are accessible. As of 9 AM we have an ample number of full day fishing passes for immediate sale ($95 each); by extension, we will have ample afternoon-only fishing passes to sell, starting at 1 PM today ($55 each). It should be noted that individuals have been able to now purchase daily access fishing passes online, for the next day; the amount of available passes online will vary day-by-day, but try that option before you attempt a walk-up pass. The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 185 CFS until 10/20/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 232. 9 AM report: current conditions are: overcast, 56 degrees (high of 57 degrees forecasted), dead calm, wet from morning rains. Water temperature is 58 degrees. Throughout the run, fish are both moving upriver as well as holding in pools. A lot of the fish that are holding are engaging in spawning activity; please do not fish for spawning fish! The estuary section reported low guest density, moderate fishing activity, with Steelhead only. The lower section reported moderate guest density in the lower part, low guest density in the upper part, experiencing good fishing activity in the lower part and moderate fishing activity in the upper part, with Steelhead only in the lower part, and a mix of Kings and Steelhead in the upper part. The middle section reported moderate guest density throughout; experiencing moderate fishing activity throughout, with a mix of Kings and Steelhead throughout. The upper section reported moderate guest density throughout, with moderate fishing activity throughout, on a mix of Kings and Steelhead. The top section reported moderate guest density, good fish activity, with a mix of Kings and Steelhead. The forecast for tonight is: "Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. Slight chance of a rain shower. Low 43F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph". The forecast for tomorrow is: "Partly cloudy skies in the morning will give way to cloudy skies during the afternoon.
