Today's Report
29 Sep '25: the Manor House guests' reserved areas are closed to guests tomorrow, Tuesday, September 30th, until further notice; any updates will be published immediately through here, our website fishing reports, through Guest Services at the Welcome Center, and through the River Patrol assigned to the two specific reserved areas. Appropriate signage has also been posted at the boundaries of these two areas, to indicate whether the areas are accessible. The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 185 CFS until 09/30/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 198. Afternoon water temperature was 68 F at 2pm. The estuary section reported low guest density, quiet fishing activity, with Chinook (King) and Coho salmon, mostly holding in place with some moving upriver. The lower section reported moderate guest density along with moderate success with a mixture of Kings, Cohos, and Steelhead. Most of the fish were seen holding in pools. (A definite uptick in the number of Steelhead seen as well as brought to hand this afternoon.) The middle section reported moderate guest density throughout, experiencing good fishing activity with Kings and Cohos, with both species seen holding in pools as well as moving upriver. The upper section reported moderate guest density and good angling success with multiple Kings and Cohos brought to hand and observed moving upriver. The top section was low in angler volume, experiencing slow fishing activity, with Kings and Cohos. Overall today there was a notable increase in the number of Steelhead brought to hand with the volume of both Kings and Cohos remaining consistent as they have this past week. The forecast for tomorrow is: "Abundant sunshine with a high of 73 degrees F. Winds will be from the N / NW at 10-15 mph.
