26 Sep '25: the two Manor House guests' reserved areas (the South channel below the Glide, and a portion of the Upper Clay) are in effect, for the full day, tomorrow, until further notice; any updates will be published immediately through here, our website fishing reports, through Guest Services at the Welcome Center, and through the River Patrol assigned to the two specific reserved areas. Appropriate signage has also been posted at the boundaries of these two areas, to indicate whether or not the areas are accessible.   There are three lodges available on the 16th of October: Mud Creek, Salmon Run Lodge and Deer Run. The lodges are for one night only and have a minimum occupancy rate of 3 guests for Mud Creek and Deer Run and for Salmon Run 5 guests. The lodges can be booked online. WALK-UP PASS PROCEDURES: due to our current online "sold-out" status, for at least the next several weeks, we have implemented our walk-up daily access fishing pass procedures, for both full-day and afternoon-only passes; here is the link to our walk-up pass procedures: https://douglastonsalmonrun.com/walkup/   The flow from the dam is scheduled to remain at 185 CFS until 09/27/2025 11:59 PM. The CFS at the Pineville gauge is currently 213. Water temperature this morning was 67F.   River Patrol 5:00[, fishing report (this report is a subjective, generalized, evaluation of fishing conditions within large, yet specific, areas of the run, compiled through personal observations of the River Patrol assigned to these areas, as well as those of our surveyed guests angling within these areas, over a span of several hours, and may differ from your personal observations). NOTE: we train our River Patrol to report uniformly, to the following criteria regarding guest density within the particular section of the river run which they patrol: "Low" = few anglers - plenty of space"; "Moderate" = some anglers - some space left"; "High" = crowded - at capacity (with a) rod length in-between (one rod length minimum distance between anglers is defined as with the rod butt on the hip, extended to the side)". Even these descriptions are relative, as at our capacity of 250 guests, we still have 2.5 miles of river, both sides of the river generally accessible, wherein our guests may fish. These same descriptions may not apply to other areas of the river outside of the DSR, where elbow to elbow is sometimes the norm.   The estuary section reported low density of anglers with slow angling success, Kings and Coho are holding in pools   The lower section reported low to moderate angler density with quiet to slow angler success, with mostly Kings, a handful of Cohos brought to hand.   The middle section reported moderate angler density with quiet to slow angler success, again Kings were seen holding in pools.   The upper section had high to moderate angler density with slow to moderate angler success, Kings and Coho along with a pair of Steelhead, are moving upriver.   The top section had low angler volume, with slow angling success, Kings and Coho are moving upriver.   For tomorrow:  “Areas of patchy fog early, then mostly sunny, high in the mid-70s with light and variable winds.
