350 CFS Dam Release

May 25, 2025

5/25/2025-Mostly cloudy skies gradually cleared up a bit and for the first time in quite some time the sun actually made an appearance, with temperatures ranging from mid 40s to the mid-50s by noon time, (water temperature was 53 / 54 degrees throughout the morning.) Our guests fished the middle and lower reaches with a few Smallmouth caught, but not in any great numbers, (possibly the cooler water temperature?) Tomorrow’s weather will be similar to todays with clouds to start giving way to ever increasing sunny skies, temperatures making it to the sixties with light winds. The flow from the dam today was 350 cfs and without rain in the forecast may stay at that flow over the next 24 hours.  The Pineville gauge is currently at 717 cfs. https://www.safewaters.com/facility/lighthouse-hill
