Fishing Report for 05/11/2025-We had a handful of anglers join us on this very sunny Mid-May Sunday.  The water temperature was 53 degrees at Sunup and rose to around 58 degrees by the middle of the day.  Steelhead and smallmouth were caught today by the majority of anglers that fished, with steelhead just nudging out bass as the predominant species hooked and landed.  The upper and middle portions of the run saw the most activity for steelhead while the middle to lower portions seemed to hold more smallmouth.  Swinging flies and Centerpins with floats and beads were the techniques used today by the anglers I had a chance to speak with. Tomorrow’s weather calls for bright sunny skies throughout the day, temperatures in the 40s at dawn moving all the way to the mid-70 by mid-afternoon, coupled with light winds not to exceed 10 mph. The flow from the dam is currently at 750 cfs and scheduled to remain at that level through 11:59 Monday evening; the Pineville gauge is currently at 1100 cfs.
