What more could we be thankful for!? A beautiful morning with sunny skies, modest temperatures, no wind, a good fishable flow in the river, and of course happy biting steelhead! Just about everyone I've spoke to this morning has had success and all have enjoyed their time on the water before heading off to spend time with friends and family. The morning's catch was primarily freshly minted steelhead with a few brown trout in the mix. We continue to observe steelhead being caught in a variety of sizes indicating a good age structure and (hopefully) several more years of good fishing ahead of us. Several guests noted larger fish today in the 10lb+ size class. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at Douglaston Salmon Run!
