CFS at the dam is 295, where it is scheduled to remain until at least midnight tonight. CFS at the Pineville gauge is 425. Our air temperatures ranged from a morning low of 14 degrees, to a "high" of 19 degrees Fahrenheit. It has been mostly overcast, with light and variable winds. We started off our morning with a fresh 2" of fluffy lake-effect snow, and it has continued to snow sporadically during the morning hours before settling into a light snowfall most of the afternoon into the evening, with a couple more inches of accumulation. Our first pair of guests ventured onto the run at 8:30 AM, but were up at 11 AM with reports that there was too much slush in the water to be able to fish. Our next set of guests checked out the river at 1:30 PM and decided to fish since it appeared to be clear of slush at that point. These two came off the run at 5:15 PM and stated they had fished from the upper section down into the middle section (all fishable water), without any success. Our forecast for tonight is more snow, and an overnight low of 14 degrees. Our forecast for tomorrow is: Flurries or snow showers possible early. Cloudy skies. High 31F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.
