One couldn't ask for a much better day on the run. A mix of sun and clouds, cooler fall-like temperatures, and a steady movement of fish ( almost exclusively Kings) throughout the day. There were some slower periods, of course ,and the early morning hours, as to be expected, saw the most visible movement, but fish were on the moved through the afternoon and evening hours as well. As the sun got higher in the sky fish could be found in the faster water and in places that offered shade. After the early morning push of fish, the mid and upper sections seemed to have the heaviest action although anglers that fished from the mid section down found plenty of fish to keep themselves entertained. Tomorrow's forecast calls for a high of 70 with clear skies (after an overnight low near 50) and light winds. Tomorrow is shaping up to be another excellent day to be on the run. Flow from the dam remains at 350cfs and the flow at Pineville is 406cfs. Water temperature this afternoon was 66, but will definitely be cooling down through the nighttime hours.
